The Baker School is located in north central Austin’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood. It was first an elementary school, and later became a middle school, a high school, and an administrative building for the city’s school district. The building has now transformed into the corporate headquarters for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

The design intent for current work celebrates the building’s architectural and functional history by adaptively re-using existing interior spaces and restoring original elements.
